Stock Up/Stock Down takes a look at individuals/teams/trends/athletes/mascots who for whatever reason have enhanced or hindered their stature in the sporting community.
STOCK UP
Houston Rockets
THEIR is no hotter team in the NBA right now than the Houston Rockets. Led by the ridiculous James Harden stat lines, they have reeled off 16 wins from their last 18 tries and are currently on a five game winning streak. During those past five matches Harden is averaging 34.4 points, 9.8 rebounds and 12 assists, posting a triple double in his last three straight. It’s not fair.
Manchester United
WITH help from Zlatan Ibrahimovic Man U have won six straight PL games and are on fire right now. They were flailing around the middle of the table earlier in the season and now sit in 6th spot with a mouth-watering clash against Liverpool coming up.
Olivier Giroud
OLIVIER Giroud scored this fancy goal in their 2-0 win over Crystal Palace. He then followed it up by scoring the equaliser in the 92nd minute against Bournemouth two days later. In form is an understatement.
Green Bay Packers SuperBowl Odds
SITTING at 4-6 Aaron Rodgers told everyone they would run the table to make the playoffs. At 10-6 they did and may be the most in form team in the league right now.
STOCK DOWN
Rajon Rondo
WHEN I wrote about the confusing addition of Rondo in Chicago’s quarterly review I stated that they should trade him for a perimeter shooter. After being benched for the third straight game it’s fair to say they should have traded him when they had the chance. His return doesn’t look like it’s coming anytime soon, especially with Michael Carter-Williams playing well in his place.
This photo is an accurate summary of Rajon Rondo’s time in Chicago so far.

Miami Heat
MIAMI had already been included in this section before the news that Justise Winslow is expected to miss the entire season. The 2nd year pro tore a muscle in his right shoulder, to add more bad news to Miami’s woeful season so far. The Heat are losers of 10 of their past 11 games heading into the match against Sacramento tonight. Fingers crossed they can get some respect back with a win.
Southhampton
AFTER conceding 9 goals in the past week it’s fair to say that The Saints are going to wrong way on the PL table, fingers crossed they can right the ship when they travel to Burnley for their next match.
NFL Coaches
WE all understood why Jeff Fisher was canned by the Rams after starting 4-9, but spare a thought for Chip Kelly. He only spent one year at the 49ers before ownership sacked him which in my opinion is pretty harsh. Mike McCoy, Gary Kubiak and Rex Ryan have all finished their coaching tenures with the clubs too. Rough week for NFL coaches all round.
