AT no point in the season is the waiver wire more important than now. We are entering the last round of fixtures in most leagues before the playoffs for the coveted fantasy league title begin. As playoff bound teams start to rest players and look for the future and teams bottom out, wrapping players in cotton wool earlier than our fantasy squads would like, be prepared to use to waiver wire like you never have before.

THE Phoenix Suns are in a weird fantasy place right now. Everyone knows the relevance and importance of studs Eric Bledsoe and Devin Booker, but some of the lesser known role players may be handy additions. Last week Alan Williams (35.9%), Tyler Ulis (14.8%) and TJ Warren (12.9%) are the 1st, 2nd and 4th most added players over the past week respectively. Monitor their consistency before jumping on one or more of them, although they could be just the boost you need to win the fantasy title.

A week ago I was pumping up Frank Kaminsky;s fantasy game. This week the Hornets big man was ruled out for the season with a shoulder injury. Conflicting reports surfaced after it was believed he may still suit up, but either way he should be placed on the waiver wire until you physically see him on the court.
TIM Hardaway Jr has flirted with a breakout season this year. Putting up career highs across the board, Hardaway Jr is averaging over 17 points in his past 10 games and could be a handy source of points for the remainder of the year.
AFTER a week of dominant stat lines with Ricky Rubio and Elfrid Payton dropping triple doubles, Kawhi Leonard may be making a run at the fantasy MVP title. Leonard sat out the clash with the Kings Wednesday night, and after his performance against the Rockets it’s easy to see why he needed a breather. The robot like Leonard is bound to be one of the top vote getters when the MVP is announced.
AS mentioned above Ricky Rubio and Elfrid Payton shone this week with the pair combining with the pair combining for three triple doubles and a sh*t ton of assists. If for some stupid reason either player is still a free agent scoop them up to garuantee a deep playoff run.
INJURY NEWS – FRANK Kaminsky’s questionable injury status means he is no longer worth holding onto (perhaps look at his teammate Cody Zeller) and Kenneth Faried still remains without a timetable of when he will return. Jahlil Okafor returned from a two game absence and looked much like himself against the Blazers. Big names like Durant, Lowry, LaVine, Parker, Embiid and Love are all likely out for the rest of the fantasy season. Let’s prayer no more of our teams cornerstones succumb to an ailment.
