A trio of sports are the focus of this weeks Sunday picks. NBA and College matchups precede the highly anticipated Superbowl LI between the Patriots and Falcons. Heres your guide to find the winners from Sunday sporting action.
Last Week: 7-5
Toronto Raptors @ Brooklyn Nets
THE Raptors have been struggling lately to establish themselves as a powerhouse in the East. Part of their problem is due to DeRozan’s absence, and with or without him they should beat the lowly Nets.
Verdict: Raptors W
Los Angeles Clippers @ Boston Celtics
ISAIAH Thomas continues to grow as a superstar this season, with his fourth quarter heroics on a historic level. A tough challenge against an LA team eager to build some momentum should be a mouthwatering game. Paul Pierce will also make his return to the TD Garden for the last time, which gives the Clippers added motivation.
Verdict: Clippers W

Portland Trailblazers @ Oklahoma City Thunder
TRIPLE double machine Russell Westbrook will be looking for his 26th triple double for the season. More importantly though his Thunder will be looking to gain some ground on the rest of the Western Conference in the playoff race. They have too much at stake to slip up against Damian Lillard and co in Portland.
Verdict: Thunder W
Clemson Tigers @ #15 Florida State Seminoles
I still believe that FSU freshman Jonathan Issac is going to be a top five draft pick this year, and has the potential to be a true NBA superstar. Looking at the present though, there is no way that he and his teammates slip up against Clemson. They are 14-0 in their own building this season and after this match they will be 15-0.
Verdict: Seminoles W

Indiana Hoosiers @ #10 Wisconsin Badgers
BASKETBALL in the Big Ten has been rather underwhelming this year, but Wisconsin have been a small bright spot. Despite back to back cold shooting performances they are a much better team than the Hoosiers.
Verdict: Badgers W
#20 Notre Dame Fighting Irish @ #12 North Carolina Tar Heels
TWO top twenty teams clash in the final relevant college game on our schedule. As good as Notre Dame have been this year they face a daunting task going to Chapel Hill to try and take down the Tar Heels. Unfortunately they lack the star power to compete for a win.
Verdict: Tar Heels W
Atlanta Falcons vs New England Patriots @ Houston
SUPERBOWL LI will come down to a battle of the quarterbacks. History doesn’t side with the newly crowned MVP Matt Ryan. Most Valuable Player winners who go into the Superbowl with a new shiny trophy are 0-7 all-time.
Verdict: Patriots W
