- WE LEARNED…NFL FREE AGENCY IS GOING NUTS!
WOAH. I could use every superlative under the sun to try and sum up day one of NFL free agency, but instead, I’ll just list some of the big names and the teams they agreed to terms with:
Kirk Cousins (QB, Vikings), Andrew Norwell (G, Jaguars), Andrew Robinson (WR, Bears), Drew Brees (QB, Saints), Jimmy Graham (TE, Packers), Malcolm Butler (CB, Titans), Teddy Bridgewater (QB, Jets), Case Keenum (QB, Broncos), Trumaine Johnson (CB, Jets), Sam Bradford (QB, Cardinals), Danny Amendola (WR, Dolphins), Josh McCowan (QB, Jets) and Paul Richardson (WR, Redskins).
Once again, woah.

- WE LEARNED…RICHARD SHERMAN AND THE BROWNS ARE MAKING NOISE TOO
BEFORE the wild flurry of moves happened yesterday Richard Sherman and the Cleveland Browns set the scene with notable shifts of their own. After being released by the Seahawks on Friday, Sherman took no time at all, deciding to sign a three-year deal with his former division rivals the San Fransisco 49ers the very next day. Cleveland was swinging deals too, acquiring QB Tyrod Taylor, WR Jarvis Landry and CB Damarious Randall in exchange for a number of draft picks and last year’s second-round pick QB DeShone Kizer. For the third and final time, woah.
- WE LEARNED…THE COLLEGE BALL CONFERENCE CHAMPS
WITH Selection Sunday looming the majority of conferences in the NCAA kicked off their conference tournaments last weekend. Usual suspects Kentucky, Kansas, Villanova, Gonzaga, Arizona and Virginia were just a few of the teams to claim victory as everyone had one last chance to improve their seeding in the NCAA Tournament.

- WE LEARNED…BRANDON JENNINGS IS BACK
FROM Milwaukee to China and back again, Brandon Jennings has had a rough couple of seasons. He signed with the Wisconsin Herd, the Bucks G-League team, a month ago in an effort to revive his NBA career. And revive it he did. One game is a small sample size, but Jennings’ 16 points, eight rebounds and 12 assists in 24 minutes was no other game. Take a bow Jennings.
- WE LEARNED…AND SO IS TIGER WOODS
PERHAPS the most exciting moment from the past week was watching Tiger’s fourth round at Valspar on the weekend that saw him tie for second place just one shot behind winner Paul Casey. Finishing -9 for the tournament, Woods nearly pulled off his first PGA tournament win since 2013 as he ended with a wild burst including this huge birdie on the 17th. With Tiger hitting his straps just in time for the Masters next month everything seems right in the world
- WE LEARNED…WHAT THE NCAA BRACKET IS GOING TO LOOK LIKE
XAVIER, Villanova, Virginia and Kansas were granted the coveted No. 1 seeds as the field of 68 was revealed on Sunday. This year’s NCAA tournament kicks off tomorrow with each school dreaming of going on a famous run to the title. Be sure to tune in to not only watch some exciting college basketball but to get a first-hand glimpse at the stars of the future in the form of Marvin Bagley (Duke), Trae Young (Oklahoma) and DeAndre Ayton (Arizona).
- WE LEARNED…THE NBA WEST PLAYOFF RACE IS STILL OUT OF CONTROL
IT’S official, pandemonium has taken over the West. With Houston and Golden State sitting safely inside the top-2 the rest of the places are wide open with just 4.5 games separating the 3rd seeded Portland Trailblazers and the 10th seeded Denver Nuggets. Every night is becoming a must watch affair down the stretch and with roughly 15 games left for each squad it’s anyone’s guess how the seedings will look when the dust settles.
