- WE LEARNED…LOUISVILLE WILL LOSE IT’S TITLE
THE 2013 championship banner will no longer reside in Louisville. The NCAA announced yesterday that the Cardinals appeal to retain their title was denied. It comes after an investigation into allegations against the program that has seen head coach Rick Pitino and athletic director Tom Jurich lose their jobs.
- WE LEARNED…OLD MAN FEDERER DOES IT AGAIN
FOR the first time in four years, Roger Federer finds himself back on top of the tennis world. After his hot start to 2018, Federer (36) reclaimed the world No. 1 ranking, becoming the oldest player to ever do so in the process. - WE LEARNED…NBA ALL-STAR WEEKEND WAS PRETTY…MEH
FROM the celebrity All-Star game to the actual All-Star game and everything in between the festivities in LA could be defined as ‘solid’. - WE LEARNED…J.D. MARTINEZ HAS A NEW HOME
PERHAPS the most coveted free agent slugger on the market will wear Red Sox colours in 2018. Martinez agreed to a 5yr, $110 million deal with Boston on Monday, giving them another lethal weapon in their outfield. Could he be the missing piece in a championship puzzle?
- WE LEARNED…BUBBA WATSON BREAKS HIS DROUGHT
FOR the first time in two years Bubba Watson is a title winner. Watson ended his drought with a win at the Genesis Open in Riviera last weekend holding off tough competition from Kevin Na and Tony Finau. It gives Watson the world of confidence as the first major of the season edges closer.
- WE LEARNED…FITZ WILL BE BACK FOR 2018
FOR the 15th time Larry Fitzgerald will put his body through a season of NFL football. Fitz is third all-time in receiving yards with over 15,000 yards and barring anything dramatic he should leapfrog Terrell Owens for 2nd at some point in the season.
