  • THE HOSTS GET DEALT A PROMISING HAND FOR THE 2018 WORLD CUP
AS is the way every time the World Cup groups are drawn, nations held their collective breath in hope of a favourable grouping. The 2018 edition of soccer supremacy seems to be a favourable event for the host nation Russia, who were placed in a group with Egypt, Uraguay and Saudi Arabia. Iran and Morocco weren’t as blessed as they were placed in a group with Spain and Portugal. Good luck with that.
  • IT TOOK 13 WEEKS, BUT WE UNDERSTAND THE NFL NOW
WEEK 13 had it all. The Packers are still alive, the best team in the league lost and Jimmy G gave San Fran fans across the globe orgasms at the thought of owning a franchise quarterback. In all seriousness, the playoff teams are quite clear from here on out, but there is still plenty of movement left to determine the seedings.

  • 2017/18 = EJECTION SEASON
FIRST it was LeBron James, then it was Anthony Davis. No biggy, players get ejected every now and then. Last week though DeMarcus Cousins and Kevin Durant became the first players tossed for multiple times this season. Heading into the 2017/18 campaign, KD had only been tossed once in his 703 game career so it might be fair to say that superstars are being thrown out of games more regularly than ever!
  • LAVAR BALL IS STILL IN CHARGE
EVERYONE kind of knew that LiAngelo Ball was the third best Ball brother. Let’s be honest. But it still comes as a shock to learn that the middle test tube baby won’t see the court at all in his freshman season. Actually, no it doesn’t, Lavar Ball is still in charge of everything BBB and the infamous sports father has now withdrawn LiAngelo from school stating “I’m going to make him way better for the draft than UCLA ever could have”. I’m not even surprised anymore.
  • THANK GOD TIGER’S BACK
TIGER Woods had a 2016 season to forget. Chasing paychecks around the globe Woods’ injuries caught up to him and ruined any chance he had of attempting a comeback to stardom. After hitting three rounds under par at the Hero Challenge last week, golfing fans are daring to dream though.

  • DON’T KIND YOURSELF, THE CFB PLAYOFF COMMITTEE GOT IT RIGHT
IT hurt as a Buckeyes fan to see the final Playoff rankings revealed and Ohio State miss the final cut. A 55-24 margin at the hands of Iowa tells you all you need to know about the BIG Ten champions’ season though. Use the keywords like strength of schedule, notable wins and resume all you like, Bama deserved the four seed.
  • LUCKY 13
13 is usually seen as an unlucky number in most popular formats. Devin Booker found himself drafted at 13th though and he is shaping up as a future star. Another guy taken 13th overall may be poised to steal his thunder though after a 41 point eruption against NOLA. Averaging over 17 points a game through his first 25 career games (and 26.2 PPG in his last six) Donovan Mitchell is no joke, leaving many Utah fans asking ‘who is Gordon Hayward’?
  • MORE UFC, NO MORE UPSETS
UFC 218 offered the potential for another headlining card, with plenty of relevant fighters squaring up against one another. The younger phenoms of the group stood up against older foes and built their case for title shots, while Holloway reminded Jose Aldo he is the creme of the crop in the featherweight class…..until Conor McGregor decides otherwise.

Peace✌️
