THE NFL Draft is under 40 days away and post-combine plenty of players have moved up and down draft boards. Free agency has also altered some team needs and there could still be some movement/trades that alter the make-up of round one.

Pick #1 Cleveland Browns – Myles Garrett, DE, Texas A&M

WATCH Garrett’s combine tape and you will know why he’s still #1.

Pick #2 San Francisco – Solomon Thomas, DE, Stanford

AFTER the combine Jonathan Allen has slipped downdraft boards, leaving the door wide open for Thomas to rise. He has slowly improved his stock throughout the entire pre draft process.

Pick #3 Chicago Bears – Jonathan Allen, DE/DT, Alabama

FLIP a coin here over whether the Bears choose Jamal Adams or Jonathan Allen. Allen is the better talent though, so he gets the nod.

Pick #4 Jacksonville Jaguars – Leonard Fournette, RB, LSU

AN impressive combine helped Leonard Fournette force his way up the board. The Jags need someone to help Bortles on offense and they get that guy with Fournette.

Pick #5 Tennessee Titans – Jamal Adams, S, LSU

BACK to back LSU Tigers go at four and five with Adams too good a talent for the Titans to pass up.

Pick #6 New York Jets – Marshon Lattimore, CB, Ohio State

IF Leonard Fournette is still here expect him to go to the Jets, if not they take best available. Plus they need an upgrade from Darrelle Revis.

Pick #7 Los Angeles Chargers – Malik Hooker, S, Ohio State

HOOKER is one of very few players that stays put heading to the Chargers.

Pick #8 Carolina Panthers – Derek Barnett, DE, Tennessee

CAROLINA will be hoping that one of Lattimore or Fournette falls to them, but after trading Kony Ealy to the Pats adding some young blood to their defensive line is a good choice.

Pick #9 Cincinnati Bengals – Corey Davis, WR, Western Michigan

A season ago losing Mohamed Sanu and Marvin Jones hurt their passing game. Corey Davis gives A.J. Green a decent sidekick.

Pick #10 Buffalo Bills – Mike Williams, WR, Clemson

TAYLOR get’s another lethal target alongside Sammy Watkins with Mike Williams. Dangerous.

Pick #11 New Orleans Saints – Gareon Conley, CB, Ohio State

SIDNEY Jones’ achilles injury means that the Saints opt for an Ohio State corner instead in Conley.

Pick #12 Cleveland Browns – Mitchell Trubisky, QB, North Carolina

THE Browns address their QB need with their 2nd first round pick. O.J. Howard is tempting here, but there is no use drafting him if they have no one to throw the ball to him.

Pick #13 Arizona Cardinals – DeShone Kizer, QB, Notre Dame

IT’S clear that Carson Palmer isn’t going to be around forever. The Cardinals get their QB of the future in Kizer.

Pick #14 Philadelphia Eagles –  Marlon Humphrey, CB, Alabama

DESPITE the temptation to draft a running back, the Eagles need cornerback help more.

Pick #15 Indianapolis Colts – Dalvin Cook, RB, Florida State

I’M hard pressed to find a better fit than Cook to the Colts if he still on the board at #15.

 

Pick #16 Baltimore Ravens – Rueben Foster, ILB, Alabama

A forgetful combine hurts Foster slightly, but not enough for the Ravens to pass on the talented linebacker.

Pick #17 Washington Redskins – Taco Charlton, DE, Michigan

CHARLTON should go earlier off the board, but if he falls to the Redskins they will happily take the talented prospect.

Pick #18 Tennessee Titans –  John Ross, WR, Washington

WITH the defense shored up the Titans get Mariota another speedy target he can use downfield.

Pick #19 Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Christian McCaffrey, RB, Stanford

ONE of the standouts from the combine, McCaffrey continues to rise up draft boards. He fills a need for the Bucs and is a nice fit with the team.

Pick #20 Denver Broncos –Ryan Ramczyk, OT, Wisconsin

THE Broncos need to address their O-line. Drafting Ramczyk early helps do that.

Pick #21 Detroit Lions –Haason Reddick, OLB, Temple

ANOTHER riser in mock drafts, Reddick’s stellar combine should see him become a first round lock.

Pick #22 Miami Dolphins – Takkarist McKinley, OLB, UCLA

EVEN though a shoulder injury will sideline McKinley until the summer his talent is undeniable.

Pick #23 New York Giants – O.J. Howard, TE, Alabama

IT may be hard to see Howard falling this far, with some mock drafts predicting he will scratch the top 10. The Giants will welcome him with open arms at #23 though.

Pick #24 Oakland Raiders – Tre’Davious White, CB, LSU

TEEZ Tabor might be tempting here, but Tre’Davious White is the best corner left on the board.

Pick #25 Houston Texans – DeShaun Watson, QB, Clemson

THIS pick hinges slightly on if the Texans can get Tony Romo on their team or not. But even if they do adding a potential future franchise play caller is a smooth move.

Pick #26 Seattle Seahawks – Cam Robinson, OT, Alabama

REGARDLESS of which O-lineman they opt for the Seahawks have one plan with pick 25 and one plan only.

Pick #27 Kansas City Chiefs – Zach Cunningham, OLB, Vanderbilt 

KANSAS City could use a rangy linebacker like Cunningham. If Trubisky or Watson are still on the board they may even choose one of those QB’s if not though, Cunningham it is.

Pick #28 Dallas Cowboys – Charles Harris, DE, Missouri 

THE same as Mock Draft Version 2, Harris goes to the Cowboys.

Pick #29 Green Bay Packers –  Forrest Lamp, OG, Western Kentucky

IN the off-season the Packers have already lost several lineman, so depth to protect Aaron Rodgers is a priority.

Pick # 30 Pittsburgh Steelers – T.J. Watt, LB, Wisconsin

THE combine has shot Watt into first round consideration and he’s worth the gamble for the Steelers this late.

Pick #31 Atlanta Falcons – Malik McDowell, DE/DT, Michigan State

SAME strategy as Mock Draft 2 for the Falcons. If McDowell is still on the board they won’t let him slide any further.

Pick #32 New Orleans Saints – Obi Melifonwu, S, Conneticut

AFTER dealing Brandin Cooks to the Patriots, New Orleans again addresses their defense. Melifonwu tested off the charts at the combine and would be a welcome addition to the Saints.
